Mohammadpur house attack video goes viral, case filed

A video of an attack inside a house in the capital's Mohammadpur area has gone viral on social media. The owner of the house has filed a case naming four individuals in connection with the incident.

Police said the attack took place on Friday evening, July 10, at Abu Bakr's house near the three-road intersection in Mohammadpur.

Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mejbah Uddin said preliminary investigations suggest the attack was sparked by a land dispute.

The 1-minute-25-second video circulating on social media shows an altercation breaking out in the ground-floor garage, followed by the display of sharp weapons and the attack.

The OC said businessman Abu Bakr filed the case naming four individuals, who are known to him. The attack is alleged to have been carried out over a land dispute.

Police have launched operations to arrest the accused.
