Additional Secretary Mojibur Rahman has been entrusted with the routine duties of the Education Secretary following the withdrawal of Senior Secretary Siddiq Zobair from the Ministry of Education. An official order issued on Thursday by the Administration and Establishment Branch of the Secondary and Higher Education Division confirmed the appointment. The directive was signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Jaber Md. Soyaib. Md. Mojibur Rahman, who currently serves as Additional Secretary (Colleges) of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, will hold the acting position until a new Secretary is appointed. The decision was made with the approval of the relevant authorities to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the ministry.

শিক্ষা মন্ত্রণালয়ের সিনিয়র সচিব সিদ্দিক জোবায়েরকে প্রত্যাহারের পর রুটিন দায়িত্বে শিক্ষা সচিব হিসেবে নিয়োগ পেয়েছেন অতিরিক্ত সচিব মজিবর রহমান। বৃহস্পতিবার (২৪ জুলাই) মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চশিক্ষা বিভাগের প্রশাসন ও স্থাপন শাখা থেকে জারি করা এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়। বর্তমানে মাধ্যমিক ও উচ্চশিক্ষা বিভাগের কলেজ শাখায় অতিরিক্ত সচিব হিসেবে দায়িত্ব পালন করছেন মো. মজিবর রহমান। নতুন সচিব নিয়োগ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত তিনিই সচিবের রুটিন দায়িত্ব পালন করবেন। মন্ত্রণালয়ের কার্যক্রম চলমান ও স্বাভাবিক রাখতে কর্তৃপক্ষের অনুমোদনক্রমে এই সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়া হয়েছে বলে জানানো হয় প্রজ্ঞাপনে।
