More than $206 crore remittance came to country in 21 days

Bangladesh Bank has informed that remittance of $206 crore 30 lakh has come to the country in the first 21 days of the ongoing September. Its amount in Bangladeshi currency is about Tk 25,374 crore 90 thousand. This calculation has been made at the rate of Tk 123 per dollar.

Bangladesh Bank spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan confirmed this information on Tuesday (September 22). According to the calculation of the central bank, the flow of remittance in the first three weeks of September has increased somewhat compared to the same period of last year.

The Bangladesh Bank spokesperson informed that remittance of Tk 848 crore 70 lakh came to the country in a single day on Monday. In the first 21 days of September 2025 remittance of $203 crore 10 lakh had come to the country. According to that the remittance flow has increased by 1.60 percent in the same period of the current year.

Meanwhile, a total of $788 crore 80 lakh remittance has come to the country from the beginning of the current fiscal year till 21 September. In the same period of the previous fiscal year remittance of $693 crore had come to the country.

That is, compared to the same period of the last fiscal year remittance has increased by $95 crore 80 lakh in the first 21 days of the current fiscal year. In percentage terms this growth is 13.80 percent.

According to the information of the central bank, a positive trend is being seen in the remittance flow from the beginning of the current fiscal year. That tendency has also remained continued in the calculation of the first 21 days of September.
