Mother, daughter killed in Pabna road crash

A mother and her daughter were killed when their motorcycle collided with a truck in Faridpur upazila on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 10:00 a.m in the Demra Chakchakia area.

The deceased have been identified as Aulia Khatun, 25, and her seven-year-old daughter, Sumaiya, both residents of Charpara village in Chatmohar upazila. The injured husband and father, Sohel Rana, 28, has been admitted to Faridpur Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

According to Faridpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Hasnat Zaman, Sohel Rana was traveling with his wife and daughter towards their home on the Chatmohar-Baghabari regional highway when the motorcycle collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

The mother and daughter died instantly at the scene. Locals took the seriously injured Sohel Rana to the health complex.
