Motorcycle stolen from inside police station in capital
A police-motorcycle was stolen from inside Vatara police station in the capital. Two masked men took the motorcycle early on Saturday (January 10).
The police could not arrest or identify the perpetrators till midnight on Saturday.
According to police and CCTV footage, the motorcycle belonged to Vatara police station assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Md. Firoz. He had locked it inside the north gate of the police station next to the water tank.
A person entered the police station early on Saturday and broke the lock of the motorcycle. At that time, another person was guarding outside the police station. After breaking the lock, they pushed the motorcycle and fled.
Vatara police station officer-in-charge (OC) Md. Imaul Haque said that the motorcycle was stolen from the police station parking lot. We are trying to identify the perpetrators. Investigation is underway.
The OC also said that efforts are being made to recover the motorcycle and arrest the perpetrators soon.
