Motorcyclist driver killed by bus in Sheorapara

A rideshare motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a passenger bus in the Shewrapara area of Mirpur in the capital. The deceased was identified as Sobuj Rahman (33).

The accident occurred around 11:30pm on Saturday (July 25). He was critically injured and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead around 12:30am.

Sobuj's cousin, Azizul Islam, said Sobuj was heading towards Magbazar with a passenger on his motorcycle. A passenger bus of 'Himachal' Paribahan struck the motorcycle, leaving him critically injured. Relatives rushed him to Dhaka Medical College, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The deceased, Sobuj Rahman, son of Mashiur Rahman, hailed from the Natabari area in Dimla upazila of Nilphamari. He was currently living in the Shyamoli area of the capital and was a father of two children.

Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp, confirmed that the body has been kept in the hospital morgue and the concerned police station has been notified.
