No suspects have been identified yet in the murder of Customs Officer Bullet Bairagi in Cumilla city. Although 24 hours have passed since the incident, law enforcement agencies are working to unravel the mystery.

Multiple organisations, including Rab, DB, CID and PBI, have joined the investigation alongside Bangladesh Police.

On Saturday night, April 25, the victim's mother, Nilima Bairagi, filed a murder case against unidentified persons at Cumilla Sadar South Model Police Station. The station's Officer-in-Charge Md Sirajul Mostafa confirmed the matter.

The body was handed over to the family after an autopsy, he said. All units of law enforcement are working in a coordinated manner to investigate the incident, and it is hoped that the mystery will be solved quickly.

Earlier on Saturday morning, Bullet Bairagi's bloodstained body was recovered from the roadside near Irish Hotel in the Kotbari area of Cumilla's Sadar South upazila on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway.

He was working as an assistant revenue officer at the Bebarbazar land port under Cumilla Customs. He lived with his family in a rented house. The incident has caused a stir in the area.
