Traffic in Dhaka faced severe disruption on Sunday (October 2) as several groups held simultaneous protests across the city, causing widespread congestion and public inconvenience.

The Ebtedayi Madrasa Teachers’ Alliance demanded MPO inclusion, while other organisations protested for recognition and MPO inclusion of special-needs and non-MPO schools near the Press Club.

Additionally, disabled graduates and 43rd BCS pass-outs blocked roads seeking non-cadre job appointments.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) expressed regret for the inconvenience. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman said the force is working to maintain traffic flow despite challenges, but public hardship has nonetheless occurred.
