Munmun Ahmed named brand ambassador for Lead Marketing BD
Lead Marketing BD, a social business enterprise working to deliver essential commodities to consumers at affordable prices, has appointed actress Munmun Ahmed as its brand ambassador to strengthen its promotional activities.
An agreement was signed between Lead Marketing BD and Munmun Ahmed at an event held at a restaurant in the capital yesterday. Officials from various food production companies, including Atiqur Rahman, Head of Sales at Poultry Group PGL, media personalities, journalists and senior officials of Lead Marketing BD were present.
Lead Marketing BD is a social business enterprise focused on providing essential commodities including rice, pulses, flour and semolina to consumers at affordable prices. In the conventional system, products must pass through multiple intermediaries including dealers, transport, retailers and advertising before reaching consumers. The company claims to limit these steps by delivering products directly from companies to customers, enabling consumers to purchase necessities at 10 to 20 per cent lower prices.
Munmun Ahmed said, "Lead Marketing BD is a social business initiative through which ordinary people can buy daily necessities at affordable prices. We artistes cannot always directly stand by people. However, by associating with such initiatives, it becomes possible to benefit people. That is why I have joined this organisation."
SM Solaiman Hossain, Chairman of the organisation, said, "We have been conducting social business activities at the field level since 2016, supporting consumers by supplying products at fair prices. We currently operate in 46 districts across the country. Plans are underway to expand services to all 64 districts in phases."
The organisation stated that its activities are guided by social responsibility and consumer protection. Lead Marketing BD continues to work towards ensuring product supply at low prices on a broader scale in the future.
