Muradnagar 'rape' video went viral amidst 2 brothers’ dispute: RAB

The reason behind the video of the 'rape' and harassment of a woman in Muradnagar, Cumilla went viral is because of dispute between the main mastermind and his brother Fazar Ali. His brother Shah Poran orchestrated the entire incident to take revenge by putting Fazar Ali in danger.

Such information emerged in a briefing organized at the RAB Media Center in Karwan Bazar in the capital. In the briefing, RAB-11 commander Lt. Col. HM Sajjad Hossain claimed that to take revenge against the elder brother due to past enmity, the younger brother created a mob and tortured and molested the victim and rapist and recorded an obscene video and spread it on social media.

HM Sajjad Hossain said that Shahid's elder son Fazar Ali and younger son Shah Poran of Baherchar village had been harassing the victim for a long time. Two months before the incident, there was a dispute between their two brothers, which led to an argument and a fight. In the wake of this, the elder brother Fazar Ali beat his younger brother Shah Paran in public in a village court. Later, Shah Paran was looking for an opportunity to take revenge on his elder brother. A few days after the court, the victim's mother borrowed Tk 50,000 from Fazar Ali on interest.

He said that on the evening of the incident, in the absence of the victim's parents, he entered the victim's bedroom on the pretext of collecting the interest. Twenty minutes later, the main mastermind of the case, Shah Poran, Abul Kalam, Anik, Arif, Sumon, Ramzan and 8/10 unidentified persons from the same village, who were staying near the victim's house, broke the door and entered the victim's bedroom and physically tortured, molested and recorded obscene videos of the victim and later spread them on social media.

HM Sajjad Hossain said that after the incident, the main mastermind Shah Poran, Abul Kalam and other accused went into hiding. Later, the accused Shah Poran was arrested on the basis of information technology and secret information. During the initial interrogation, he admitted that due to previous enmity, the victim and Fajr Ali were tortured, molested and recorded obscene videos of them and spread them on social media.
