Mutual understanding, trust between India and Bangladesh strong: Pranay Verma

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Kumar Verma has said that relations between the two countries are normalising day by day. He said they are working to maintain the emotional and cultural ties between the two nations.

He made these remarks after a courtesy meeting with National Parliament Speaker Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed and Deputy Speaker Barrister Kaiser Kamal on Monday afternoon, April 13.

Pranay Verma said the mutual understanding and trust between the two countries are strong. Energy, communication, culture and various other issues are deeply intertwined between the two nations. He also said the people share the same culture, history and traditions.

He further said that cooperation will be carried out based on mutual relations in areas where work would benefit the people of both countries.

The Indian High Commissioner also informed that discussions were held on maintaining regular exchanges of parliamentary activities between the two countries.
