Mymensingh district BNP joint convener Bachchu expelled
Mymensingh South District BNP Joint Convenor and Bhaluka uazila BNP Convener Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu has been expelled from the party for being involved in anti-organisation activities including lobbying, creating an uproar within and outside the upazila BNP. The information was announced on the Facebook page of central BNP on Sunday (September 1) midnight.
The expulsion order was given in a letter signed by Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, senior joint secretary general of BNP. In the expulsion letter regarding the, it is said that Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu has been expelled from all positions including primary members of the party based on specific allegations of indulging in anti-organisational activities. According to a source of BNP, on August 27, Fakhruddin Ahmed recommended in an application for the work order in favour of LG-Butterfly Manufacturing Company Limited in Kathali area of Bhaluka upazila.
The application recommended outsourcing the company's supply chain, transportation and waste disposal functions to 'Bhaluka Enterprises'. Fakhruddin Ahmed wrote in the recommendation given to the company, "It is recommended to issue a work order in favour of the mentioned (Bhaluka Enterprise) company." Contacted, Fakhruddin Ahmed Bachchu told Views Bangladesh “After August 5, a conflict arose between two parties regarding the contract work of an industrial company. When the local administration spoke to me about the incident, I recommended for a company in an application after discussion with the two parties. I saw on social media that I was expelled for this incident. However, I have not received any letter regarding this yet. Moreover, no one from central BNP wanted to know anything about this from me.”
