Namaz e Janaza of Rakib, Guddu on Wednesday
Two Bangladeshi nationals died when their canoe capsized in the Canadian province of Ontario.
The Namaz e Janaza of the deceased will be held after Asr (7:30 pm) prayer on Wednesday at the Sunnatul Jamaat Mosque at 347 Denfoth Road in Toronto.
The accident occurred on June 8 while the victims were canoeing in a lake near a cottage in the Linzi area of Ontario.
The deceased are--Saifuzzaman Guddu, captain of a Boeing 787 of Bangladesh Biman, and Abdullahil Rakib, former vice president of BGMEA and managing director of Team Group.
According to a report by Canadian media CP24, the weather was normal at the time of the accident and no information was received about any storm or strong winds. However, the Kawartha Lakes City and Ontario Provincial Police have launched a joint investigation to find out the cause of the incident. They are examining other possible factors, including weather data.
Family sources said the process of sending the bodies to Bangladesh is underway.
