Nasimul Ghani to continue as Cabinet Secretary for another year

Dr. Nasimul Ghani will remain in office as the Cabinet Secretary for an additional year. A gazette notification extending his tenure was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Monday.

According to the notification, under Section 49 of the Government Service Act, 2018, Dr. Nasimul Ghani has been re-appointed on a contractual basis for one year, subject to the condition of severing work relationships with any other profession, business, or government, semi-government, or private institution and organization.

The notification specifies that the new term will take effect from August 18, 2026. This appointment to the position of Cabinet Secretary of the Cabinet Division is a continuation of his previous contract.
