Nasiruddin Patwary becomes voter of Dhaka South

Nasiruddin Patwary, chief coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has transferred his voter registration from Dhaka North City Corporation to Dhaka South City Corporation .

The information was shared in a press release sent to media on Monday, September 7.

Earlier, Nasiruddin Patwary was a registered voter in the Uttara area under Dhaka North City Corporation. Recently, he has been included as a voter in the Dhaka-8 parliamentary constituency, which falls under Dhaka South City Corporation .

The application for voter transfer was submitted through the Election Commission's prescribed Form-13, following all legal and administrative procedures. The Election Commission approved the application after necessary verification and scrutiny of official documents .

It may be noted that Nasiruddin Patwary contested the Dhaka-8 seat in the 13th parliamentary election as a candidate of the 11-party alliance . The constituency falls under Dhaka South City Corporation, covering wards 8 to 13 and 19 to 21 of DSCC. The seat had a total of 275,471 voters .

In the election, Patwary contested with the 'Shapla Koli' symbol . He lost to BNP's Mirza Abbas by a narrow margin .
