National Press Club elections postponed

The elections of the National Press Club's 2026-2027 term management committee, which was set to be held on December 31, has been postponed.

This information was given in a press release signed by the chairman of the election management committee, SAM Shawkat Hossain, on Thursday (December 18).

The release stated that all the candidates for the post of president and almost all the candidates for the post of general secretary, except one, have submitted written applications for postponing the election due to unavoidable reasons. In this context, the election management committee, after discussing with the management committee of the National Press Club, has unanimously decided to postpone the election.

The release stated that the new schedule of the election and the next steps in this regard will be announced in due course.
