Navy sailor found dead on roadside in Chattogram

A Bangladesh Navy sailor was found dead on the Chattogram-Hathazari road in the Borodighirpar area under Chikondondi Union on Monday morning (December 8).

The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain, 29, son of Mohammad Miraj Mia of Matinnagar Chikanchhara area of ​​Baganbazar Union in Fatikchhari.

Police suspect he died in a road accident.

According to locals, Delwar was found unconscious with his motorcycle and rushed him to a private hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Delwar had injuries on his head, chest, and body. His identity card confirmed his position as a sailor in the Bangladesh Navy, said Zafar Ahmed, sub-inspector (SI) of Rauzan Highway Police Station.

Muhammad Ullah, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rauzan Highway Police Station, said, "The exact causes behind the death are yet to be determined. The body has been sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
