NBR raises revenue target by Tk 53,000cr for FY 2025-26

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has increased the revenue target for the 2025-26 fiscal year by Tk 53,000 crore, according to a statement on Monday (November 24).

The target, initially set at Tk 4.99 lakh crore, has now been revised to Tk 5.45 lakh crore for the remaining seven months of the fiscal year.

In the first four months, NBR collected Tk 1.19 lakh crore, falling short of the Tk 1.36 lakh crore target by Tk 17,219 crore (12.6%). While growth remains positive at 12.6%, it lags behind last year’s 15.54%, adding pressure to meet the revised target.
