NCP announces special programs for Eid-ul-Azha
Ahead of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, the National Citizens' Party (NCP) has announced several service-oriented and public welfare programs under its Dhaka North and South city units.
Their initiatives include deploying volunteers in every ward, launching hotline numbers for emergency services, assisting city corporations in waste management, and placing public demands.
Akram Hossain, Chief Coordinator of NCP Dhaka North, and SM Shahriar, Joint Coordinator of Dhaka South, announced the programs at a press conference held on Friday (June 6) at the party's temporary office in capital's Banglamotor.
They said that volunteers from the party will be active in every ward during Eid. In case of any emergency, people can call the hotline numbers and a team will reach within 30 minutes. The party will also help the city corporations in waste management and run awareness campaigns before and after the Qurbani in each ward.
NCP’s Eid Programs:
1) Deployment of volunteers in every ward
2) Launch of emergency hotlines to respond within 30 minutes. Dhaka North: 01913-486163, Dhaka South: 01918-999801.
3) Assistance to city corporations in waste disposal
4) Awareness campaigns in local communities
NCP’s Demands:
1) Setting up temporary centers in each ward for the collection and preservation of animal hides
2) Preventing exploitation by middlemen
3) Ensuring waste removal and proper cleanliness within 24 hours of Eid
4) Ensuring maximum security across Dhaka and on travel routes during the Eid holidays, especially for cattle traders and general passengers
NCP North leaders Sardar Amirul Islam, Khaleda Akter, Kazi Saiful Islam, and Omar Faruk; South unit’s Sanaullah Khan; and central committee members Zayed Bin Naser and Tawhidul Islam also attended the press conference.
