NCP leader shot and robbed of motorcycle in Gazipur

Miscreants have lifted the motorcycle of an NCP leader after shooting him in Gazipur.

The incident took place at 12:30 pm on Thursday (January 8) in the Jogitola area of ​​Basan police station.

No casualties were reported in the incident, police said. The victim, Mohammad Habib Chowdhury, is said to be a member of the Gazipur Metropolitan unit committee of NCP.

Ali Naser Khan, central joint chief organiser of the party, said that Habib had advertised his motorcycle for sale on an online platform. Seeing that, some people approached him posing as buyers. Later, they took Habib to a place and tried to forcibly snatch the motorcycle. When Habib started screaming, the miscreants opened fire on him. Later, they lifted the motorcycle and fled.
