NCP’s Joypurhat district chief coordinator resigns
Firoz Alamgir, the Chief Coordinator of the National Citizen Party (NCP) in Joypurhat district, has resigned from his position. He submitted his resignation letter to the party’s central office on Monday evening, October 13.
In his resignation letter, Firoz stated that he had been serving as the district’s Chief Coordinator but recently found several party activities, decisions, and positions to be inconsistent with the ideals of the revolution.
He further mentioned that the central leadership’s policy of inducting identified Awami League leaders and activists into the party contradicts his personal principles and values — a stance that has deeply disappointed him.
Firoz wrote that he had hoped the NCP would introduce a new form of politics in the post-revolution era, but the party has instead adopted conventional political practices, which has disheartened him.
He concluded by stating that he can no longer remain associated with the NCP’s activities and is resigning from all organisational responsibilities within the party.
