NCP’s ‘Shapla Koli’ symbol added to EC website

The Election Commission (EC) has added the sketch of the ‘Shapla Koli’ symbol, allocated to the National Citizen Party (NCP), to its official website. As a result, this EC-approved sketch will appear on the ballot papers for the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

NCP’s Joint Member Secretary and Media Cell Editor Mushfiq us Saleheen confirmed this development on Wednesday (November 26), saying, "The EC has finalised the symbol."

He also urged all media outlets to use only the EC-approved version of the ‘Shapla Koli’ symbol when referring to the party.

On the EC website, each registered political party is listed with its designated symbol. Although NCP and the Bangladesh Socialist Party (Marxist) were recently added to the registry, their symbol slots had remained empty. With Wednesday’s update, NCP’s ‘Shapla Koli’ symbol is now displayed, although the Marxist party’s symbol is yet to be uploaded.
