Nepal’s Foreign Minister in Dhaka to pay tribute to Khaleda Zia
Nepal’s Foreign Minister Bala Nanda Sharma arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday night (December 30) to pay her last respects to former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
She was received at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport by Nepal’s Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanshyam Bhandari, and Foreign Secretary M. Farhadul Islam.
According to a statement from Nepal’s Foreign Ministry, the visit reflects Nepal’s deep respect for Khaleda Zia and honours her contributions to strengthening Nepal–Bangladesh relations during her third term as Prime Minister.
The Foreign Minister is scheduled to return to Kathmandu on January 1, following the completion of the janaza.
