Dr. Nasimul Ghani, Senior Secretary (Contractual) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, has been appointed as the new Cabinet Secretary (Contractual). The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Monday February 16. Earlier, the contract of contractual Cabinet Secretary Sheikh Abdur Rashid was cancelled on February 14. Later, Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor M Siraj Uddin Mia was given the additional responsibility of Cabinet Secretary in addition to his own duties. In the latest order, Dr. Nasimul Ghani got permanent (contractual) responsibility in this post. The gazette mentioned that this order will come into effect immediately.

নতুন মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব হিসেবে চুক্তিভিত্তিক নিয়োগ পেয়েছেন ড. নাসিমুল গনি। সোমবার ( ১৬ ফেব্রুয়ারি) জনপ্রশাসন মন্ত্রণালয়ের চুক্তি ও বৈদেশিক নিয়োগ শাখার এক প্রজ্ঞাপনে এ তথ্য জানানো হয়েছে। সিনিয়র সহকারী সচিব মোহাম্মদ মামুন শিবলীর সই করা প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়, ড. নাসিমুল গনিকে মন্ত্রিপরিষদের সচিব হিসেবে চুক্তিভিত্তিক নিয়োগ দেওয়া হলো। জনস্বার্থে এই আদেশ অবিলম্বে কার্যকর করা হবে। এর আগে মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব পদে ছিলেন শেখ আব্দুর রশীদ। তবে গত ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি তার চুক্তি বাতিল করে নতুন সরকার গঠনের প্রস্তুতির মধ্যে নিয়োগ দেওয়া হয় প্রধান উপদেষ্টার মুখ্য সচিব এম সিরাজ উদ্দিন মিয়াকে। আজ আবার সেই প্রজ্ঞাপন বাতিল করে নাসিমুল গনিকে নতুন সরকারের মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব হিসেবে নিয়োগ দেওয়া হয়।
