New proposals have emerged in discussions with political parties: Ali Riaz

New proposals have emerged during discussions with political parties regarding the recommendations from reform commissions, said Professor Ali Riaz, Vice President of the National Consensus Commission.

He stated, "New proposals have come up in the discussions. We will need to consult with the relevant commissions about these, as they were forwarded to the National Consensus Commission by the commissions themselves."

Professor Ali Riaz made these remarks on Tuesday (April 22) at the beginning of a meeting with the BNP held in the LD Hall of the National Parliament. The meeting, which had been adjourned last Sunday, resumed at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.

Ali Riaz said, "We had shared our views with 39 political parties. So far, we’ve received responses from 35 of them. The first phase of discussions with 15 parties, including the BNP, is nearly complete. Talks with the remaining parties will continue. We hope to conclude the initial round of discussions with the BNP by the third day of our meetings."
