New secretaries appointed to Commerce Ministry and Cabinet Division, Tariff Commission gets Chairman

The government has appointed new secretaries in the Ministry of Commerce and the Cabinet Division. At the same time, a new chairman has also been appointed in the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission.

The Ministry of Public Administration announced this information in a separate notification on Monday (May 25). Three additional secretaries have been promoted to the post of secretary and given responsibility for these posts.

According to the notification, Mymensingh Divisional Commissioner Farah Shammi has been promoted to the post of secretary and made secretary of the Cabinet Division (Coordination and Reforms).

Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Md. Ataur Rahman Khan has been promoted to the post of secretary and appointed to the Ministry of Commerce.

In addition, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture Nasir-ud-Ddaula has been promoted to the post of secretary and made chairman of the Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission. The post of chairman of the commission is of the rank of secretary.

In a separate notification, Information and Communication Technology Department Secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain has been withdrawn from his current post and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration.
