New uniforms for RAB, police and Ansar finalised

Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said that new uniforms for RAB, police and Ansar have been finalised.

The new color uniforms were decided at a meeting of the Advisory Committee on Law and Order at the Secretariat on Monday (January 20).

The adviser said, "The decision on the uniforms has been made. We have decided one for the BGB, one for the police and one for the Ansar. We have decided all three uniforms today."

He also said that the members of the forces will be given new uniforms in phases.

Regarding why the decision to change the uniforms was taken, the adviser said, "Along with the uniforms, everyone's mindset and everything has to change. You (journalists) will emphasize one area the most, which is corruption. If corruption can be eliminated from the country, many problems will be solved.’

The adviser said that there will be no need for a large amount of money for changing the uniforms, saying, ‘When the uniforms are being given, we will give them slowly like this. So that there is no big problem.’

The meeting was given a trial of 18 types of uniforms. Initially, five uniforms of five colors were determined. Later, the committee selected three uniforms from those five.

The color of the police uniform is iron, the color of the RAB uniform is green olive, and the color of the Ansar uniform is golden white, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
