New US ambassador meets Tarique Rahman

The newly appointed United States ambassador to Bangladesh, Brent Christensen, has met Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairman Tarique Rahman.

The meeting took place on Monday afternoon at the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan.

Those present included BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, BNP chairperson’s foreign affairs advisory committee member Humayun Kabir, advisory council member Dr Mahadi Amin, press secretary Saleh Shibly, and officials from the US Embassy in Dhaka.
