Nine new deputy commissioners appointed in nine districts

As part of administrative reshuffles ahead of the national election, nine new deputy commissioners (DCs) have been appointed in the third phase across different districts.

On Thursday, the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification transferring DCs in the concerned districts.

According to the notification, new DCs and district magistrates have been appointed in Chattogram, Lakshmipur, Munshiganj, Netrakona, Chapainawabganj, Naogaon, Khagrachhari, Cumilla and Narayanganj.

Among the appointed DCs, Narayanganj DC Mohammad Zahidul Islam Mia has been transferred to Chattogram, BPATC Director SM Mehedi Hasan to Lakshmipur, Planning Division Deputy Secretary Syeda Nurmahal Ashrafi to Munshiganj, Shipping Ministry Deputy Secretary Md Saifur Rahman to Netrakona, Finance Division Deputy Secretary Md Shahadat Hossain Masud to Chapainawabganj, Principal Adviser’s Office Director Md Saiful Islam to Naogaon, Shipping Ministry Deputy Secretary Md Anwar Sadat to Khagrachhari, Rajshahi Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Md Reza Hasan to Cumilla, and Personnel Division Deputy Secretary Md Raihan Kabir has been appointed DC and district magistrate of Narayanganj.
