Nizam's body not being repatriated to Bangladesh
The Bangladesh Embassy in Beirut has stated that it is unable to repatriate the body of Mohammad Nizam Uddin, a Bangladeshi national killed in an Israeli airstrike in Lebanon.
"The lack of available flights due to the ongoing conflict as the reason for this inability," it said.
However, the embassy officials are in contact with Nizam Uddin's wife, who is currently in Lebanon, it confirmed in a statement.
Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon, Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Nizam Uddin, referring to him as a 'remittance warrior.'
Nizam Uddin, hailed from the Kharera area under Kasba Upazila of Brahmanbaria district in Bangladesh, was killed on Saturday afternoon while on his way to work in the Hazmiye area of Beirut.
