No anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh: Chief adviser
Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has dismissed allegations of persecution against Hindu minorities, stating, “There is no anti-Hindu violence in Bangladesh.”
He made the remarks during an interview with GTO on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York. The interview was published on Monday, September 29.
Professor Yunus, who assumed the role of chief adviser after the ouster of Sheikh Hasina in 2024, said he had initially been reluctant to take the responsibility but accepted at the call of the movement.
He also discussed delayed elections, the Rohingya crisis, and the ban on Awami League activities.
