'No comment’ from Delhi on arrest warrant for Sheikh Hasina
Randhir Jaiswal, a spokesperson of Indian external affairs ministry, declined to comment on the arrest warrant against Sheikh Hasina issued by the International Crimes Tribunal over “genocide” charges.
He said: “We have seen some reports about this in the media. We have no comment beyond that."
He said this while speaking to journalists during a weekly briefing on Thursday.
On August 5 amid a mass uprising, Sheikh Hasina left Bangladesh and took shelter in India.
In the last couple of days, there have been several speculations about her whereabouts. Regarding this issue, Jaiswal said Sheikh Hasina is still in India.
