Nahid Islam, Convener of the National Citizens Party (NCP), has stated that elections cannot take place without the July charter, justice, and reforms. He made these remarks on Monday morning while addressing journalists at a tourist motel before departing from Rajshahi to Natore.

Nahid said that they will wait until August 5 for the announcement of the July Charter, expressing hope that the government and all relevant parties will declare it by then. He urged the government to explain the reasons behind the delay.

The NCP leader further warned that if the government fails to implement the July Charter, the party will consult with other movement stakeholders before deciding on the next steps.

Highlighting the party’s growing support in Rajshahi, Nahid added, “We have received strong backing here. Now is the time to unite and work towards the reconstruction of Bangladesh.”

The rally saw participation from local leaders and activists, who updated the party’s central leadership on various issues affecting the Rajshahi region.
