No fascist govt will be tolerated ever: Fakhrul

Stating that the fascist government (Awami League) will never be accepted in the future, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said various conspiracies are going on in the country and all must unite to tackle this conspiracy.

He said this after paying tribute, on the occasion of taking oath of Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain, at the grave of the party founder Ziaur Rahman at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Sunday (November 3).

He also said all should be alert so that the fascists cannot return in the next parliamentary elections.

Mirza Fakhrul said popular leader of Chattogram City Corporation Shahadat Hossain won by contesting in vote, but the Awami League fascists snatched away that result by force. Thanks to the justice system, the court has declared Dr Shahadat elected as mayor.

Fakhrul thanked the interim government for initiating the oath of Shahadat as mayor of Chattogram City Corporation in accordance with the court's verdict.

It should be noted that the Awami League government was ousted on August 5 through a mass uprising by the students and people. Then an interim government was formed under the leadership of Nobel laureate professor Dr Muhammad Yunus.
