No lack of govt's commitment for February polls: Fakhrul
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said the government has no shortage of commitment in organizing the elections scheduled for February.
Speaking to reporters after a meeting with members of the indigenous communities at the party chairman’s office in Gulshan on Wednesday morning, Fakhrul accused the ruling Awami League of creating a “chain of terror” in Gopalganj. He claimed the incident in Gopalganj involved political motives and attempts to undermine the election process.
Fakhrul also highlighted the role of the Chief Adviser during times of crisis, saying, “Whenever a crisis arises, the Chief Adviser calls the parties. BNP responds because it is committed to democracy.” He stressed that such consultations should occur more frequently to ensure political stability.
