Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman promised to focus on agricultural development and its transformation into industry in Kishoreganj, a predominantly farming district, while assuring voters that no miscreants would interfere in the upcoming polls.

Speaking as the chief guest at the party’s election rally at Katiadi Government College grounds on Tuesday (February 3), he said that repatriating funds illegally transferred abroad could fund development initiatives in the district.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman emphasised that a free, fair, and transparent electoral environment would be ensured, declaring, “No miscreant will be able to manipulate the vote this time.”

He further said Jamaat does not seek government for itself but envisions a government representing all 180 million citizens, prioritizing underdeveloped regions.

The rally, presided over by Kishoreganj district Jamaat Amir Professor Md. Ramzan Ali, featured speeches from leaders of the 11-party alliance and candidates from six constituencies. Thousands of party activists participated after marching from the district’s 13 upazilas.
