No need for BUET students to block roads: Dr Mokhlesur Rahman

Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman, has called on BUET students to avoid blocking roads during their protests, highlighting that such actions cause hardship for the general public and are unnecessary.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Dr. Rahman said the students’ demands can be resolved smoothly if submitted through proper channels. “The government has yet to receive any formal proposal from the students regarding their demands. Once we receive an official request, the issues can be addressed quickly,” he noted.

He also mentioned that the matter requires coordination between multiple bodies, including the Ministry of Law and the Public Service Commission (PSC). “All relevant parties will sit together to find a solution,” said the senior secretary.
