Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain has said that if the BNP government fails, no one will be able to live safely in the country. He also asserted that no government or prime minister in Bangladesh's history has been as dedicated as the current administration.

He made the remarks while speaking to journalists after visiting the Vedarganj Upazila Health Complex in Shariatpur on Saturday (August 1).

Addressing doctors, the Health Minister said if the promises made to the people after the July uprising are not fulfilled, it will not only be the government but also doctors who will suffer. He warned that no one will be able to stay safely at home or work, as people are aware of everyone's activities.

Urging doctors not to destroy the health sector, he called on everyone to work together to ensure public health. He emphasised the vital role of doctors in advancing the country.

Referring to the contributions of expatriates, the minister said millions of Bangladeshis are working abroad and sending remittances, which play a key role in keeping the country's economy afloat. Without their contributions, the country's foreign exchange reserves would face a crisis and economic activities would be disrupted.

Stressing the need to develop young people as skilled human resources, the Health Minister said if Bangladesh can build a healthy, capable and skilled young generation, its people will be able to demonstrate their abilities worldwide.
