No one suffered the consequences of 1/11 more than BNP: Mirza Abbas

BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas said that recently, some people have been saying that BNP is trying to bring about 1/11. I tell them that no one has suffered the terrible consequences of 1/11 more than BNP. If they continue to talk like this, Bangladesh will never see the face of democracy.

He said this at a prayer meeting on the occasion of the 10th death anniversary of Arafat Rahman Koko on the ground floor of the BNP central office on Friday.

He said, ‘BNP is being pushed towards the Awami camp. Look at your own face in the mirror, do not try to deceive the countrymen. Do not try to make us India's agents or the Awami League. Try to restore peace in the country without conspiring.’

Clarifying the party's position on the formation of a new party, Mirza Abbas said, ‘BNP does not envy the formation of a new party. Run the party in a democratic manner, BNP will welcome you.’

However, Mirza Abbas also warned that those who are trying to gain benefits by pushing BNP into a different camp will not have a good outcome.
