No party lines when it comes to people’s safety: State Minister for Foreign Affairs

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam has said that care must be taken to ensure that no mobs are created or law and order is deteriorated. Party views cannot be seen on the issue of human security.

He said this at a meeting with government officials and employees at the Faridpur Deputy Commissioner's conference room on Friday afternoon.

The State Minister for Foreign Affairs said that prices of commodities should be kept at a bearable level during Ramadan and the safety of everyone should be ensured regardless of party views. My party wants to serve as a servant of all.

Addressing the district administration and police administration, he said, "Not just one party - if law and order deteriorates, we should go hardline to catch the real culprit. There is no need to look at party views here."

He also said that the police investigation should be impartial. No innocent person should be punished. Party views cannot be seen on the issue of human security; the real culprit should be brought under the law.

Faridpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Kamrul Hasan Mollah presided over the meeting, and Shahidul Islam Babul, MP from Faridpur-4, spoke as a special guest.

Police Superintendent Nazrul Islam, District BNP Convener Advocate Modarres Ali Icha, Member Secretary AK Kibria Swapan, Faridpur Press Club President Kabirul Islam Siddiqui, among others, also spoke at the meeting.
