No possibility of alliance with Jamaat: Salahuddin

BNP Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed has ruled out the possibility of forming an alliance with Jamaat-e-Islami in the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

Speaking at his residence in Gulshan on Tuesday (August 12), Salahuddin said, "There is no chance of a coalition with Jamaat in the next election."

He confirmed that BNP intends to contest the polls as part of an alliance, adding, "Time will determine which parties, beyond those involved in the ongoing simultaneous movement, may join the alliance."

Salahuddin also reiterated BNP’s commitment to forming a national consensus government if voted into power.
