No reason for concern over national election: Asif Nazrul

Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul has assured that there is no reason for concern regarding the upcoming national parliamentary election, stating that "The government is committed to holding the election in the first half of February."

Speaking after a discussion with judges at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in Rajshahi on Sunday (November 9), the adviser said the government will take all necessary measures to ensure a festive and safe election environment.

He noted that while political parties sometimes create pressure on each other or on advisers, and some claims may contain elements of truth, there is no real cause for worry about the election.

Asif Nazrul added that individuals who may misuse bail or threaten law and order are being closely monitored.

To reduce the burden on courts, he also mentioned that three judges will now handle cases instead of one.
