No victory procession despite landslide victory: Shibir President

Chhatra Shibir President Zahidul Islam has called for no victory procession despite the landslip de victory in the Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) elections. He made the call in a Facebook post after the final results of the DUCSU elections were announced on Wednesday (September 10) morning.

In the post, the Shibir President wrote: "Alhamdulillah. Allah is great. Finally, Dhaka University students are the winners."

Describing this victory as a special gift from Allah, Zahidul Islam wrote: "We will not be arrogant, we will be generous and humble towards everyone."

He also wrote: "We will not hold any procession anywhere in the country. We will only offer thanks to the Almighty Lord through prostration."

The candidates of the panel supported by Chhatra Shibir won an absolute victory in the DUCSU elections. Shadik Kayem was elected as VP, SM Farhad as GS and Md. Mohiuddin Khan as AGS.

Regarding future plans, the Shibir president said: "We will not stop as we are on the path of building a dream campus. Bangladesh will be everyone’s beloved homeland."
