Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has warned that individuals involved in organized crime, mob violence, theft, robbery, extortion, rape, and other criminal activities will face strict legal action, saying nobody will be spared.

He emphasized that the government is determined to maintain law and order, ensuring criminals are brought to justice with severe punishment.

"Nobody will be spared," he asserted while speaking to journalists early Monday during his inspection of Tejgaon, Dhanmondi, Shahbagh, and New Market police stations in the capital. He also instructed law enforcement agencies to adopt a tougher stance against crime and disorder.

Faisal Hasan, director (Public Relations) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, said that during his visit, the Home Affairs adviser inspected various sections of the police stations, including reception areas and detention cells. He engaged with duty officers and law enforcement personnel, offering guidance and stressing the need for increased alertness and proactive crime prevention.

During his rounds, Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also visited several key checkpoints across Dhaka, speaking with security personnel and overseeing joint patrol operations.

Addressing journalists, he talked about the government's commitment to maintaining stability during Ramadan. “The government is determined to maintain law and order during Ramadan. To this end, nearly a hundred checkpoints have been set up at crucial points in the capital, and patrols in crime-prone areas have been increased,” he said.

He further noted that officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs have been assigned to regularly monitor these security measures, particularly the nighttime activities of patrol teams.
