Nomination collected for Khaleda Zia in Bogura-7 constituency

Former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia will contest the upcoming 13th National Parliament election from the Bogura-7 (Gabtali-Shahjanpur) constituency.

On behalf of Khaleda Zia, former Member of Parliament Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu formally collected the nomination papers from the Bogura district election office on Gohail Road in Bogura town on Sunday afternoon.

News of the BNP chief contesting from this seat has generated widespread enthusiasm among party leaders and workers in the Gabtali and Shahjanpur areas. Local BNP leaders have expressed strong confidence that Khaleda Zia will once again win by a large margin if the electoral environment remains fair.

On the same day, party leaders and activists collected nomination forms for BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman from the Bogura-6 constituency. At around 12:30 pm, Bogura district BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha received the nomination papers on behalf of Tarique Rahman from Bogura Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Toufiqur Rahman.
