Nomination proposals invited for Ekushey Padak

The government has invited nomination proposals for 'Ekushey Padak-2026' from all ministries, departments, and agencies or offices and agencies under the Cultural Affair Ministry, deputy commissioners, public university authorities, district commissioners, and the previous recipients of Swadhinata Padak and Ekushey Padak.

The Directorate of Information announced this information in a press release on Tuesday (July 29).

According to the policy for awarding the Ekushey Padak, the government has decided to honour individuals (alive or dead), groups, institutions, and organisations who have made outstanding and praiseworthy contributions in fields such as the Language Movement, Fine Arts (including music, dance, acting, and other branches), the Liberation War, journalism, research, education, science and technology, economics, social service, politics, language and literature, and any other area determined by the government.
