North Korea closes embassy in Bangladesh
North Korea closed its embassy in Bangladesh five days ago. As a result, the N. Korean embassy in Delhi will take care of their interests in Bangladesh from now on, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed.
On Monday (November 27), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that North Korea had announced the closure of the embassy a month ago through a diplomatic letter. Then the country's ambassador left Bangladesh on November 21. The embassy was closed due to financial and logistical reasons, said officials.
Since 1974, the North Korean embassy started working in Bangladesh. However, Bangladesh does not have an embassy in North Korea.
