Notre Dame student Aulin Bashar’s novel 'Aynar Opashe' unveiled on campus
A festive atmosphere prevailed at the campus of Notre Dame College as the novel 'Aynar Opashe' by Class XI student Aulin Bashar was officially unveiled at a publication ceremony attended by teachers, students and invited guests.
At just 17, Aulin has already published 15 books, drawing admiration from the college community for his prolific writing at such a young age.
The unveiling ceremony took place at the college’s open stage and was organised by the Notre Dame Lekhokkunjo. The novel has been published by Panjeree Publications Ltd., with cover design by Prasun Haldar.
Speakers at the event praised the young author’s imagination, keen observation and creativity reflected in his writing. Acting principal Father Anthony Sushanto Gomez emphasised the importance of promoting love and human values through literature, while Bangla department teacher Marlin Clara Pinero highlighted the creative potential evident in Aulin’s work.
Among others who spoke were Ranjit Kumar Nath and Father Antony Pronoy Gomez, who wished the young writer continued success. The event was moderated by Bangla department head Md Shahidul Hasan Pathan.
Children’s writer Dontossow Rowshan and fiction writer Mojaffor Hossain, who attended as guests, praised Aulin’s word choice and narrative maturity, noting that the campus would one day take even greater pride in his achievements.
Publisher representative Litu Khan said the book was selected for publication after careful evaluation of its writing quality, presentation and originality. He also announced a 40 percent discount on the book for students of Notre Dame College.

Born on 22 May 2008 in Satkhira, Aulin published his first book in 2015 while still in primary school. He is currently a Class XI student at Notre Dame College. The novel 'Aynar Opashe', priced at Tk 500, features cover art by Prasun Haldar and is published by Panjeree Publications Ltd.
