Nowfel's house set on fire in protest of Hadi's death

In protest of the death of Inqilab Mancha convener Sharif Osman Hadi, his supporters attacked the residence of former Awami League Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel in Chasma Hill.

After 11 pm on Thursday (December 18), a group of youths under the banner of Chhatra Janata took a procession from Gate No. 2 area to the residence of Nowfel in Chasma Hill.

First, a motorcycle in front of the building was set on fire. Then, the angry people entered the house and committed extensive vandalism and arson.

The OC of Panchlaish Police Station said, "We are busy now and will provide details later."

Meanwhile, a group of youths are protesting by blocking the Chittagong-Khagrachari road in Bibirhat area of ​​Fatikchhari upazila of the district over the death of Sharif Osman Hadi. The protest is being held by burning tires on the road under the banner of Chhatra Janata.
