Nur is not suffering from short-term memory loss: DMCH Director
Brigadier General Md. Asaduzzaman, Director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), has confirmed that former DUCSU Vice President and Gono Odhikar Parishad President, Nurul Haque Nur, is not suffering from short-term memory loss following a recent head injury.
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday at DMCH, Brig Gen Asaduzzaman provided an update on Nur’s health condition, stating that while Nur sustained a nasal bone fracture—leading to occasional bleeding—there are no signs of memory loss.
“The nasal injury may take four to six weeks to fully heal. The blood clot in his eye, caused by the impact, has also subsided,” said the director.
He added that if Nur’s family wishes, they may arrange for treatment abroad. However, as the patient is currently showing symptoms of fever and cold, medical samples have been sent for testing to determine whether it is dengue or a viral infection.
“Once the fever subsides, Nur will be physically stable enough to return home,” Brig Gen Asaduzzaman said.
